There will be no entry for heavy vehicles in Prayagraj from 8 am on January 11 to 8 am on January 15. Police officers of many districts have been given the responsibility to ensure 100% compliance of the route diversion.
Maha Kumbh will commence on 13 January on the day of Paush Purnima . On the second day, 14 January, there will be the bathing festival of Makar Sankranti . A large number of devotees are expected to visit Prayagraj on the first two days of the fair. Therefore, route diversion has been issued for heavy vehicles on all entry routes of the district. That is, there will be no entry of heavy vehicles in Prayagraj from 8 am on 11 January to 8 am on 15 January. Police officers of several districts have been given the responsibility to ensure 100% compliance of the route diversion.
Route of vehicles going from Kanpur to Banda
Vehicles will be sent from Kanpur to Chaudgara Chauraha in Fatehpur via Bindki to Bandhwa Tiraha, Lalauli Chilla towards Banda. The return of the vehicles will also be via the same route. The Superintendent of Police of Fatehpur and Banda will ensure the traffic arrangements.
Route from Rewa to Varanasi
From Thana Mangawan of Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), they will go to Varanasi via Hanumana Lalganj, Mirzapur and Aurai and will return via the same route. Apart from Police Commissioner Varanasi, the traffic system will be ensured by the SPs of Mirzapur, Bhadohi and Rewa.
Those going from Kaushambi to Varanasi will be diverted
Heavy vehicles coming from Kaushambi will be diverted from Kokhraj bypass. Vehicles will go straight from the bypass towards Varanasi via Handia. The return of vehicles will also be through this route. For this, SP Kaushambi and DCP Ganganagar have been given responsibility in Handia.
Diversion from Kanpur towards Varanasi and Bihar
Heavy vehicles will enter Bihar via Fatehpur-Kanpur, Rae Bareli-Pratapgarh-Mungra Badshahpur- Machhlishahr-Jaunpur, Jalalpur-Phoolpur-Babatpur Airport Mangari Palhipatti Choubepur-Rajwari Saidpur-Chahaniyaan Sakaldiha-Chandauli-Syedaraja and will also return via the same route. On the other hand, entry and return to Bihar will be via Fatehpur, Rae Bareli-Pratapgarh Mungarabadshahpur Machhlishahr Madiaun- Bhadohi-Aurai- Kachwan Rajatalab Akhri Bypass-Narayan Bypass- Chandauli-Syedaraja-Naubatpur. Apart from CP Varanasi, the Superintendents of Police of Fatehpur, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Ghazipur and Chandauli have been assigned the responsibility for traffic management.
Route of vehicles going from Kanpur to Rewa-Mirzapur
Vehicles will be sent from Chaudgara to Bindki to Bandhwa Tiraha, Lalauli Chilla towards Banda. From there, vehicles will leave from Kardi-Mau-Shankargarh to Jasra Naribari Mangawan Hanumana Lalganj to Mirzapur. The return will also be from the same route. For this, apart from DCP Yamunanagar, Superintendents of Police of Fatehpur, Banda, Chitrakoot and Mirzapur will shoulder the responsibility.
Rewa to Lucknow route
From Rewa, turning left from Naribari, through Shankargarh, Mau, Karvi, Banda, crossing Billa bridge, Bindki-Chaudgara- Fatehpur, Asni bridge, Lalganj, Rae Bareli will be sent to Lucknow and returned. Apart from Police Commissioner Lucknow, DCP Yamuna Nagar, Superintendents of Police of Rewa, Banda, Fatehpur and Rae Bareli will perform the responsibility.
